Habanos

Habanos SA was created in 1994 under the brand name Habanos Sociedad Anomina. In 1996, it took over Cubatabaco's commercial (sales) responsibilities. In 2000, the French/Spanish company Altadis SA bought a 50% stake in Habanos SA. In 2007 British Imperial Tobacco bought 100% from Altadis SA.
