My Own Blend

The cornerstone of the Danish My Own Blend brand has always been tobacco shops - it's been that way since Paul Olsen founded the first one in the 1930s.

The idea was that any pipe smoker could walk in, chat with the blender, and then have his or her personal blend made up. The concept became very popular, with regular visitors from all walks of life (including King Frederik IX and the famous satirist Storm P), and the archive now boasts over 10,000 unique recipes.

A number of blends were so good and popular that they were regularly produced - and many still are!
