Ashton Classic

Robert G. Levin, a second-generation cigar merchant from Philadelphia, had a dream... to make cigars under his own name. In 1985, he met Carlito Fuente, a tobacco and cigar producer in the Dominican Republic, with whom he teamed up to create the "Ashton" brand. He played an active role in selecting the tobaccos used to give Ashton its unique style. To this end, he uses only the finest, most aromatic Dominican tobaccos for the filler. For the wrapper of the classic range, he chose a Connecticut wrapper of the highest quality.

Note that this cape is one of the last to be a true connecticut in our market. It comes, as the name suggests, from Connecticut. Most other brands have abandoned this terroir and grow Connecticut varieties in other countries, mainly Ecuador. In this case, in my opinion, it loses quite a bit of its finesse and is more bitter, which is not to its advantage.
