Since 2000, Romeo y Julieta Edición Limitada has offered a new or revisited format each year, produced in limited quantities and aged for a minimum of twenty-four months after fermentation. Sourced from Vuelta Abajo's most prized plots, these tobaccos undergo a traditional double fermentation before a long aging period in a humid cellar, before being hand-blended to create numbered editions, identifiable by their black and gold ring.
Among the most notable editions are the Wide Churchill (2008), offering a generous ring for medium-full power, and the Gold Medal (2015), a small corona offering a balance between honey sweetness and delicate spices. When lit, these cigars reveal notes of aged leather, espresso coffee, and cocoa, before delivering a final third where the aromatic complexity becomes denser, punctuated by earthy and woody nuances.
