Introduced in 2000, the Edición Limitada from Cohiba celebrates a new or updated format each year, selected from Vuelta Abajo's best harvests. Subjected to classic fermentation, the leaves are then aged for a minimum of 24 months in humid casks, before being put into numbered tins. Each edition bears a black and gold ring indicating the year of release, underlining its ephemeral nature and strictly limited production.
Recent editions include 55 Aniversario (2021) stands out for its Victoria format (57 × 150 mm) and signature pigtail cap. Talismán (2017) offers a generous 54 × 154 mm, and the Vistosos (2023) surprise with their 53 × 145 mm parejo, sold in a 10-unit travel humidor. At first lighting, these vitolas reveal a medium-full character, with notes of weathered leather, espresso coffee, bitter cocoa and sweet spices, underpinned by regular construction and impeccable draw.
