Penderyn

The art of distillation had died out in Wales... until a group of friends revived this forgotten tradition in the 1990s. Thus was born Penderyn, the first Welsh distillery in over a century, nestled in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. Supplied with pure spring water and equipped with a unique still designed by a descendant of Michael Faraday, the distillery launched its first whisky in 2004. Since then, Penderyn has made a name for itself on the international scene with its elegant, award-winning single malts, symbols of exceptional local know-how and boundless ambition.
