Kavalan

The Kavalan distillery takes its name from an ancient tribe living in the region, and is located in the north-east of the island of Taiwan. Founded by the King Car Group, Kavalan didn't hesitate to call on the industry's leading experts, and from the outset affirmed its commitment to producing whisky of the highest quality. Consequently, with Jim Swan's help, the distillery produced the first drop of new whisky on March 11, 2006, and sold the first batch of whisky on the market in December 2008. I soon took notice and won a number of medals. IWSC named KAVALAN «Whisky Producer of the Year» in 2016 and 2017, and named it «Whisky Producer of the Year» in 2017.
