A liqueur is a spirituous beverage containing at least 70 to 100g of sugar per liter, resulting from the aromatization of an alcoholic base using fruit, plants or dairy products by various processes including maceration or infusion. Alcohol acts as a solvent, capturing the taste, fragrance and color of agricultural products.
