Description
The cigar Matilde Oscura Grande is part of the brand's "Oscura" range; these are undoubtedly Maltide's most daring cigars. Composed of a pretty Dominican, Nicaraguan and Pennsylvanian blend, it is held in a Sumatra-Ecuadorian wrapper. Finally, the dark wrapper that envelops all the cigars in the "Oscura" range is a solid Mexican maduro wrapper from San Andreas.
If we had to sum up the cigar Matilde Oscura Grande In three words, we'd emphasize the fleshy white and black pepper notes present from the outset, which evolve splendidly as the tasting progresses. These notes would not be sublimated without the balanced sweetness that emanates from this cigar. Among the various flavors that emerge, we also perceive woody aromas and sometimes roasted coffee aromas, increasingly present from the second third onwards.
Founded in 1876, Matilde was one of the first tobacco companies in the Dominican Republic. It was relaunched by the Seijas family in 2014.
