Previously called Coronado by La Flor, La Flor Dominicana Coronado Toro cigar was highly rated in Cigar Aficionado when it was launched in 2006, and even featured in the list of the 25 best cigars of 2015. For whatever reason, La Flor Dominicana Coronado was not a great commercial success and interest in the cigar inexplicably waned, so Litto Gomez only produced it sporadically.
This year, he has decided to bring back this great blend. The brand has a new name, a new box and new rings, but the blend hasn't changed and we're glad it has. Each puff of this corona gorda has a smooth, mellow hazelnut taste that develops into an elegant combination of nutmeg and graham cracker with a subtle spicy note.
