No cigar designer could have imagined launching a production run of such a large module. The imposing size of the E. P. Carrillo Inch No. 70 Maduro is puzzling at first. Once its apprehension is overcome, ignition takes time, we'll have to take care of it to get the best out of this colossus.
Once ignited, the print is simply marvellous, the tempo cadenced with exceptional regularity. As with the rest of the range, coffee dominates, with spices giving way to a slightly peppery velvetiness in the second third. The firm ash maintains itself with vigor, and there's no construction flaw. A very interesting wine to discover when you have at least 2h30 ahead of you.
