Partagas Chicos is a benchmark cigarillo. Easily identifiable thanks to its character and power, this mini Panatela, 106 mm long and 11.6 mm in diameter, expresses itself with woody, full-bodied notes.
Like the "great Cubans", only tobaccos produced in Cuba are used. Much appreciated when time is short, this cigarillo will only take about fifteen minutes to satisfy the enthusiast. This cigarillo is available in boxes of 25 or 10×5 cartridges.
Cuba's oldest cigar factory, Partagas was founded in 1845 by Don Jaime Partagas Ravelo when he left Spain for Havana. As the owner of several tobacco farms in the Vuelta Abajo, a region recognized as the world's «grand cru» for tobacco, Don Jaime had the best raw material to produce excellent cigars. Success soon followed, and many aristocrats of all nationalities were among his loyal customers, so much so that the factory was almost renamed «Manufacture Royale».
Under the avant-garde impetus of its founder, Partagas was the first factory to experiment with different fermentation techniques, and was also the first to employ the services of a "reader", making the torcedors' work less monotonous and, above all, contributing to the culture and education of its employees.
Following the death of Don Jaime Partagas Ravelo, the factory underwent several changes of ownership, until it came into the hands of the Cifuentes family in 1940. Following the Cuban revolution and the departure of its owners in 1961, Partagas remained one of the most important factories alongside Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta, accounting for almost 25% of Cuban production.
