Visit José L. Piedra Cazadores is a particularly remarkable Habano not only because its blend is made from tobaccos grown exclusively in Cuba, but also because it is manufactured using the Totalmente a Mano, Tripa Corta technique, or "entirely hand-made, short-fill".
On the palate, the flavors are essentially woody and vegetal. A touch of pepper completes the aromatic palette. A medium-strength cigar.
The Piedra family arrived in Cuba in the 1880s from the Spanish province of Asturias, settled near the town of Santa Clara, in the heart of the Remedios region, where tobacco has been grown since the 16th century, and began making cigars.
The second generation of the family, led by José Lamadrid Piedra, whose name is commemorated today, founded and developed the brand.
Visit José L. Piedra Cazadores is a Corona cigar measuring 152 mm in length and 17.07 mm in diameter (ring 43). You'll need around 45 minutes to enjoy it properly.
