Visit Cohiba Esplendidos is one of the most sought-after and prestigious modules of this brand, which today remains certainly the most exclusive of Cuban cigars...and not Cuban.
The Cohiba brand was born in a former diplomatic villa, El Laguito, at the request of Fidel Castro when he noticed one of his bodyguards smoking a particularly aromatic and expressive cigar. After finding out who made these vitolas, he hired 5 people to produce what would become THE Cuban cigar, reserved for government dignitaries and foreigners alike.
Until 1982, Cohiba cigars were available only in Cuba and distributed only at official events. Fidel Castro then decided to make Cohiba a luxury cigar brand distributed to the general public. The first modules made up the Clàsica range, then the Linea 1492, referring to Christopher Columbus and incorporating the "Siglo", was launched by Habanos SA in 1992.
Edicion Limitada" completes the range with, as the name suggests, limited editions eagerly awaited by aficionados.
