Produced in the lowlands of Jalisco, the Tequila Barajas Reposado 38% 70cl reveals a precise, luminous character: a brilliant gold color, a light, delicate body, and a bouquet blending nuances of raw and cooked agave, punctuated by notes of pineapple, peach, pear, lime and fresh herbs. Each bottle, shaped and painted by hand by Mexican artisans, bears the signature of the responsible craftsman, affirming an aesthetic identity deeply rooted in traditional know-how.
Its production is based on lowland agaves and the «desfibrador» extraction method, perfected by Master Tequilero Gerardo Barajas. This process allows better oxygenation and a singular extraction of the pulp, offering unprecedented expressions of agave. Long cooking enriches the aromas of cooked agave, while native yeasts add a subtle touch of cinnamon. The tequila is distilled twice in stainless steel, then aged for eight months in single-use French oak barrels for the Reposado version.
The production of the Tequila Barajas Reposado 38% 70cl remains limited, and each bottle requires the coordinated work of eight artisans over ten days, including seven hours of painting.
When tasting, take a pure approach to appreciate the balance between raw and cooked agave, fruity accents, lime, herbs, and minerality supported by delicate hints of honey. A rare cuvée that showcases technical precision and artisanal mastery.
