Maison A 1710's new cuvée is named after Cheval Bondieu, a mythological animal from the West Indies. It's the first rum to be aged in oak barrels, and is the result of A-1710's own distillations. Distilled in multi-column stills, this rum is a blend of rums aged between 18 and 36 months in French and American oak barrels. This edition is limited to 822 copies.
Tasting notes
It has an amber color with delicate mahogany highlights. On the nose, fruity notes blend with the scent of sugar cane, giving it its distinctive Martinique identity. Honey and gingerbread are also present on the nose. On the palate, it expresses itself through empyreumatic notes of roasted coffee, vanilla and a touch of wood. The taste is fruity and gourmet. Pleasant spicy finish.
