A top-quality Swiss Dry Gin from the house of Deux Frères, distilled in Austria from 24 botanicals. The last secret plant is added in Zurich, giving this Dry Gin its typical aroma. Shown here in a 50cl bottle.
The gin now produced by Deux Frères was initially produced in a small in-house laboratory in central Zurich, distilled from 11 botanicals in batches of just 2.5 liters. After a year and a half, the distillation process was transferred to Deux Frères in Tyrol. The recipe was modified to contain 25 botanicals and now includes organic juniper berries, whose Latin name Juniperus is the name of this spirit, as well as organic lemon peel, rose petals, lavender flowers and arnica. 24 of the 25 botanicals are distilled to the London Dry standard, which gives this gin its flavor and pungency, while the last of the 25 botanicals is kept secret and added in the final maceration process - back in Zurich. Thanks to its natural, light-sensitive anthocyanins, Deux Frères Dry Gin can go from blue to violet to pink, depending on the blend. It is packaged and labeled by hand in opaque brown pharmacy bottles, before being shipped worldwide. Deux Frères benefits from some 400 years' experience in the distillation process of top-quality eau-de-vie.
