The unique collector's decanter LOUIS XIII la Miniature (5 cl) is the perfect introduction to the LOUIS XIII cognac experience, containing the life's work of generations of our Maîtres de Chai.
LOUIS XIII La Miniature, 5cl
LOUIS XIII cognac contains a unique blend of the oldest and most precious eaux-de-vie from grapes grown in Grande Champagne. This spirited, colorless liquid is poured into century-old Limousin oak barrels to mature over the years.
Since 1874, our Maîtres de Chai have reserved the finest Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie for their successors to use in the future. At the same time, our cellar master will use his artistic intuition and know-how to hand-select different combinations of aged eaux-de-vie set aside by their predecessors, and blend them in such a way as to preserve the taste and aromas of LOUIS XIII cognac over time.
The miniature decanter
Our LOUIS XIII Miniature has been given the same attention to detail as all the decanters in the Iconic Collection. Each is crafted by Europe's finest crystal artisans and fits in the palm of your hand. The design, with its distinctive shape and fleur-de-lis motif, was inspired by a 16th-century flask discovered on the battlefield of Jarnac, France. Our founder Paul-Émile Rémy Martin took the bottle as the basis for our now world-famous decanter.
The set
The delicate little decanter from LOUIS XIII la Miniature is presented in a special red box like a precious jewel. Just as an antique jewelry box is as important as the treasure inside. The box reveals the LOUIS XIII Miniature decanter, with its fleur-de-lys stopper and iconic 20-carat gold neck, in all its beauty.
