La Estancia Edición Exclusiva EE52 is an exceptional cigar, unique for Europe, incorporating 50% of Cuban tobacco and 50% from Nicaragua.
Its cinnamon-brown wrapper is deceptive to the eye, appearing rough but actually being smooth to the touch. The aroma of this cape is an intoxicating combination of aromatic cedar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cocoa nibs, cloves and hay.
Produced in Honduras, this cigar is the fruit of collaboration between Nicaraguan and Cuban terroirs. The wrapper comes from Nicaragua, while the filler is an equal blend of Cuban and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The binder is also Nicaraguan in origin.
It gets off to a gentle start with an impeccable draft, offering smooth, unctuous flavors marked by aromas of creamy coffee, toasted hazelnut and finishes on a woody note.
From the first third, La Estancia Edición Exclusiva 52 reveals a palette of flavors, including creamy cedar, toast, peanuts, coffee beans, leather, hay, earth and dark chocolate. An apricot sweetness emerges on the retrohale, accompanied by a hint of black pepper.
The final third reveals increased complexity with a dominant jalapeño note, blending harmoniously with flavors of creamy cedar and toast.
The cigar is 149 mm long and has a diameter of 20.64 mm (52 ring gauge). Tasting time is estimated at between 60 and 80 minutes. Its strength evolves over the course of the tasting, starting gently and reaching near-average intensity in the second third.
