Punch Cigars

Punch changed owners several times. In 1874, the company was bought by Luis Corujo, who refined the aromatic range of cigars while giving them more character in terms of their looks and technical characteristics. Ten years later, Punch became the property of Don Manuel Lopez Fernandez, founder of Juan Valle & Co. The year 1925 was marked by a move: Punch cigars are now produced in the factory where Hoyo de Monterrey cigars are rolled. This collaboration between the two brands is still current today for part of the production. When the Wall Street stock market crash of October 1929 occurred, the resulting economic crisis did not spare Punch. The brand is sold again and the lessee is called Palacio y Cía. Thanks to the initiatives of the new owner, Punch is moving upmarket, which has the effect of increasing its notoriety, leading to a significant increase in sales.

Characteristics
Punch cigars are either sweet or moderately strong. They all release a woody note with a slight tobacco aroma. To this aromatic background typical of the brand’s cigars, there are the specific flavors of each vitola. These puros are just as suitable for novice smokers as they are for serious amateurs. Each vitola contains a mixture of tobacco grown on the plantations of Vuelta Abajo. These are long-tripe cigars that are entirely handmade in the La Corona factory. Several modules are available, but the corona is the most represented.
