If you like a good cigar – then you already know that a cigar cutter is the must-have tool in your arsenal of accessories as a cigar lover. And while the merits of each type of cut and how to cut cigars have been recurring themes in many past debates, there is, however, very little historical information regarding the cigar cutter. A cigar cutter is an instrument that allows the opening of the cigar in order to smoke it, there are several types producing different notches at the head of the cigar.
Straight cut: single guillotine or double guillotine: single or double blade cutter.
Cigar scissors: cigar cutter scissors are capable of cutting cigars of any size and provide good visualization during the cutting operation.
Cigar punch or punch: which pierces in the middle of the cigar’s head.
“V” cut: the V-shaped cigar cutter is a very precise tool: making a correct cut requires much more attention than that practiced with a simple guillotine cigar cutter.
